NEW DELHI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Ducon Infratechnologies Limited (BSE: 534674, NSE: DUCON) made a strong impact at the GH2 Summit held at Yashobhoomi Convention Center in Delhi recently. In collaboration with its technology partner, DeltaVision GmbH, Ducon showcased its advanced fluid control systems, for hydrogen mobility, storage, and safety applications. Supported by the Ministry of Heavy Industries and organized by the Sustainable Development Leaders Council (SLDC), Ducon’s participation in this event highlighted its commitment to driving India's hydrogen transformation.
India's leadership in green hydrogen was reinforced last month by Prime Minister Narendra Modi when he emphasized India’s ambition to produce 5 million metric tons of green hydrogen annually by 2030 as part of the National Green Hydrogen Mission, launched in 2023. As part of this mission, India has already issued tenders for 450,000 tons of green hydrogen and 739,000 tons of green ammonia, with pilot projects underway.
Despite the progress in hydrogen production, challenges remain in the development of infrastructure for hydrogen mobility and storage in critical sectors such as transportation and shipping of hydrogen along with rocket liquid fuel propulsion systems. At the GH2 summit, which gathered more than 3,500 delegates, one of the key insight was the difficulty of transporting pure hydrogen due to its corrosiveness and material embrittlement properties; thus requiring specialized components, such as valves and flow regulating devices which currently do not exist in the Indian market at economical prices.
In this context, Ducon’s advanced fluid control systems stand out as essential solutions for hydrogen applications. Ducon’s solenoid valves, check valves, and pressure regulators are specifically designed for high-pressure & corrosive conditions, enabling the safe and efficient transport of hydrogen for its desired applications. Ducon’s high-performance components are well-suited to meet the needs of government initiatives, such as hydrogen transport corridors and pilot projects for hydrogen-powered vehicles, ships and rockets. The company’s ability to offer advanced fluid control systems for both hydrogen and ammonia applications gives it a clear competitive edge in supporting the National Green Hydrogen Mission.
