FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Global educational services provider Kaplan has been named to Newsweek’s Most Loved Workplaces list for 2024, ranking 68 among the top 200 companies recognized for on-the-job satisfaction. This marks the fourth consecutive year that Kaplan made the list, a strong validation of the company’s consistent dedication to an outstanding employee experience. Additionally, Kaplan has been named to the Top Most Loved Workplaces for Volunteering and Top Most Loved Workplaces for Wellness lists, two new honors for the company.
The results were determined after surveying more than 2.6 million employees from businesses with workforces varying in size from less than 50 to more than 10,000. The list recognizes companies that put respect, caring, and appreciation for their employees at the center of their business model and, in doing so, have earned the loyalty and respect of the people who work for them.
Gregory Marino, CEO, Kaplan North America, said:
“Kaplan's recognition as a Most Loved Workplace reflects our commitment to fostering a dynamic and inclusive culture. By prioritizing employee well-being, professional development, and opportunities for meaningful engagement, we’ve created an environment where our people can thrive. This sense of belonging and collaboration fuels our mission—to help our students, clients, and partners succeed. It’s the common goal that unites us all, and I’m grateful to everyone who makes it possible. It’s inspiring to see our team’s enthusiasm and dedication recognized year after year, and I’m incredibly proud of our collective efforts to build a workplace where every voice is heard and valued.”
Yvonne Yancy, Kaplan North America's Chief People Officer, said:
“I’m incredibly proud that Kaplan has been named to Newsweek's Most Loved Workplaces list for the fourth consecutive year. This recognition highlights how special Kaplan truly is, which we owe to our talented employees and the supportive culture we've cultivated. This achievement reaffirms our dedication to empowering our teams and creating an environment where everyone can thrive and make a meaningful impact."
Marino and Yancy point out three key reasons why Kaplan employees give the company high marks:
- Community: Creating a sense of belonging, especially in a fully remote environment, involves innovative approaches. The Kaplan 4 Kaplan engagement team brings employees together through various virtual events, such as trivia, escape rooms, cooking classes, and other unique activities. And the New Hire Ambassador program ensures new hires have a connection outside of their direct teams. Another example where Kaplan supports employee comradery is through the Kaplan Cares initiative, in which employees are encouraged to use their paid volunteer time off hours together within their communities, when possible.
- Learning and Development: Our Develop U Virtual Conference, initiated in 2021, has become a pivotal part of Kaplan’s employee development. With around 60 sessions annually, covering topics from leadership to health and wellness to best practices to harness the power of artificial intelligence, the multiweek initiative exemplifies the company’s belief in knowledge-sharing. Develop U was a key reason why Kaplan was a winner of the Association for Talent Development’s prestigious BEST Awards, the industry’s most rigorous and coveted recognition.
- Recognition: Appreciating and celebrating employees' achievements are integral to Kaplan’s organizational culture. Through awards like the Kaplan Way Award (KWA) and Spirit of Kaplan, as well as intra-departmental recognition programs, Kaplan ensures that commendation and gratitude are part of its everyday operations.
