HDI US Appoints Kashif Syed to Chief Information & Transformation Officer

CHICAGO--()--HDI Global Insurance Company, the US subsidiary of international commercial insurer, HDI Global SE (HDI), today announced the expansion of its executive leadership team with the appointment of Kashif Syed as Chief Information and Transformation Officer (CITO).

In this newly developed role, Kashif will lead the strategy and direction of HDI’s business transformation US technology operations, infrastructure, application development and cyber security. He will be based out of the company’s US headquarters in Chicago, IL and will report into Jim Clark, Chief Executive Officer, HDI Global Insurance Company.

“Kashif is a proven leader who brings more than 25 years of business and IT insurance consulting experience in the P&C insurance sector,” said Clark. “He has helped organizations transform operating models across the insurance value chain, including a focus in the underwriting, claims and premium finance functions. Kashif joins HDI from Synpulse USA, where he most recently served as Associate Partner and was responsible in leading and supporting client delivery, practice management and sales activities across the Americas insurance practice. In his new CITO role at HDI, he will collaborate with HDI’s global and local leadership towards steering, driving, and delivering on strategic objectives. “It is an honor to serve as chief information and transformation officer,” states Kashif. “This is an exciting time for the company as we look to modernize our technology landscape and transform towards an operating model that supports our growth journey. Kashif earned both his Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Emory University.
