LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The 17th Annual Polo in the Palisades, held at the breathtaking Will Rogers State Historic Park, was a spectacular success. With over 600 attendees and more than $750,000 raised, the event showcased the community's dedication to supporting Miriam’s House Los Angeles, a nonprofit sober living home for women and their children.
Chairwoman Patricia Meyers and Executive Director Brenda Valiente led the charge in organizing this remarkable day of philanthropy, entertainment, and community support. Grammy Award-winning singer Deniece Williams, best known for her hit “Let’s Hear It for the Boy,” kicked off the event with a stirring rendition of the national anthem, setting a celebratory tone for the day.
“The funds raised through this event are essential in maintaining Miriam’s House and providing women the opportunity to rebuild their lives and those of their children,” said Patricia Meyers. “We need your support to continue our mission to break the generational cycle of addiction, poverty, trauma, and abuse. With live polo matches, exquisite cuisine, and a dynamic live and silent auctions, the event had something for everyone. Auction items, including luxury getaways and exclusive experiences, attracted enthusiastic bids, creating a friendly yet competitive atmosphere as guests vied for these one-of-a-kind items.
