AUBURN, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--PRO Refrigeration—the leading US-based designer and manufacturer of packaged chiller systems for food and dairy processing, fermented craft beverages, machine and process cooling and extraction companies—has launched the PRO Chiller PRO4 Series, the most advanced cooling system in these markets today. With a reduced footprint, modular design, simplified maintenance and future-ready circuitry, the PRO4 Series represents the innovation-fueled future of dairy farming, brewing, distilling and more—offering top-quality, highly customized and streamlined cooling solutions that improve productivity and boost profits.
PRO Refrigeration unveiled the PRO Chiller PRO4 Series at the World Dairy Expo, which took place Oct. 1 through Oct. 4 in Madison, Wisconsin.
The PRO Chiller PRO4 Series improves on existing packaged chiller models through the addition of several cutting-edge features, including:
- five mix-and-match compressor options across four independent circuits, allowing for custom cooling solutions with different configurations and refrigerant options to suit individual customer needs;
- a simplified control design specifically engineered to make maintenance fast and efficient without service interruption;
- a redesigned glycol tank and standardized components that reduce the unit’s footprint by 25%, offering easier access, faster production and lower shipping costs; and
- circuits that are fully upgradeable, allowing customers to easily adapt to evolving refrigerant standards and regulations, and each of the new technologies.
The PRO4 Series comes with real-time remote performance monitoring for two years, as well as a variety of supplemental components, direct access to replacement parts, and aftermarket phone, online and field support provided by the most expert, reliable technicians in the business. As with all PRO Chiller products, PRO4 Series customers have the ability to add on to their purchase the company’s proven PRO Heat₂0 module that recovers waste heat from the cooling apparatus, producing hot water to heat facilities and/or support heating processes.
“Dairy farmers face significant risks and financial impacts from unreliable cooling systems, which routinely cause quality issues, lost revenue and unnecessarily high operational costs,” said Jim VanderGiessen, CEO of PRO Refrigeration. “We are proud to alleviate such concerns through a modular, redundant system designed for continuous, efficient use in the toughest conditions.”
Mr. VanderGiessen added, “Backed by the best customer support team in the industry, the PRO4 Series delivers peace of mind with a strong return on investment, helping customers achieve and maintain productivity and profitability.”
PRO Refrigeration offers a wide range of additional, innovative cooling solutions, including its Chill&Flow™ and CHILStar™ Series for smaller production breweries, boutique winery and distillery applications; its MA Series, offering single and dual refrigeration circuits, a perfect solution for customers planning to expand capacity in the future; and its higher capacity V PISTON Series. In 2021, the company introduced PROGreen Hybrid Solutions, its eco-friendly cooling solutions that utilize CO₂ as a refrigerant, helping customers meet sustainability goals. Since then, PRO Refrigeration has proven that its CO₂-based systems can not only do the job of cooling milk on large dairy farms, but also handle most of their water heating.
