DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AECOM (NYSE: ACM) the world’s trusted infrastructure consulting firm, today announced it has been awarded a contract to provide program management, design and engineering services to support the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s (Metro) ambitious goal of transitioning its bus fleet to Zero Emission Buses (ZEB). As one of the largest electric bus programs in the nation, this initiative with support from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, will emphasize reduced greenhouse gas emissions and improved air quality while delivering high-quality services for Los Angeles County’s residents and visitors.

In this role, AECOM will provide ZEB and charging infrastructure conceptual design, specification, and procurement support. In addition, the firm will advise on implementation strategies that ensure a seamless and successful transition to zero-emission operations.
