ALLENTOWN, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Ancora Education announced today the McCann School of Business and Technology (McCann) will undergo rebranding and become Berks Technical Institute (BTI) on October 1, 2024.
BTI, also a network school of Ancora Education, dates back to February 1982 when the Lehigh Data Processing Institute received its license from the Pennsylvania State Board of Private Licensed Schools to provide training in data processing. In May 1987, the Institute was privately purchased, and in 1990 changed its name to Berks Technical Institute and was later purchased by STVT-AAI Education Inc., dba Ancora in January 2018.
This new identity will allow Ancora to harness BTI's established reputation in the state of Pennsylvania, build awareness as trusted career training facilities for individuals and a trusted workforce solutions provider to businesses and communities alike, and help them become the trusted provider of top-notch career training and workforce solutions. It will further enhance connections and strengthen relationships with students, businesses, and communities. While the name changes, McCann's core values, including commitment to student support and community dedication, will remain.
Beginning October 1, the McCann School of Business and Technology locations in Lewisburg, PA, and Allentown, PA, will rebrand as Berks Technical Institute, joining the existing BTI school in Wyomissing, PA. To mark this new transition, a Grand Re-Opening event will happen on October 8 in Allentown from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM and October 9 in Lewisburg from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
