Morris Industries Founder Nate Morris Honored with the 2024 Rainey Center Civic Excellence Award

Nate Morris was honored with the 2024 Rainey Center Civic Excellence Award presented by the Joseph Rainey Center for Public Policy. Those recognized with various awards included U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy (R-LA) and U.S. Congressman Chuck Edwards (NC-11).

LEXINGTON, Ky.--()--Morris Industries is proud to announce that Nate Morris, Chairman and CEO, was honored with the 2024 Rainey Center Civic Excellence Award presented by the Joseph Rainey Center for Public Policy.

The Rainey Center is named in honor of Congressman Joseph Hayne Rainey, the first Black man to serve in the U.S. House of Representatives, and their work and awards aim to carry on his legacy. The Rainey Center Civic Excellence Award celebrates individuals who have demonstrated extraordinary civic engagement and leadership. Morris was recognized for his significant contributions of empowering others through entrepreneurship and his impactful leadership in driving economic growth and innovation in Kentucky.

Rainey Center President Sarah E. Hunt commended Morris’ contributions, stating, "Nate Morris exemplifies what it means to be a civic leader. His efforts to foster innovation and economic development in Kentucky showcase the powerful role of entrepreneurship in strengthening both local communities and the nation."

The Rainey Center for Public Policy presented this award and various other awards during their LAMP National Summit which brings together subject matter experts and elected officials from across the country to discuss new ideas to solve America’s most significant challenges shaping the future of our country while empowering the next generation of conservative leaders.

In addition to Morris, the Rainey Center recognized U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy (R-LA) and U.S. Congressman Chuck Edwards (NC-11). Other awardees and keynote speakers featured during the summit include Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV), and Lieutenant Governor of South Carolina, Pamela Evette, among others.
