Another career highlight includes her role as Vice President of Marketing at behavioral health leader Hazelden Betty Ford, where she was responsible for strategic marketing functions. Following the merger between Hazelden and The Betty Ford Center, she led the development and launch of the unified Hazelden Betty Ford brand, showcasing her expertise in brand integration and strategic positioning. Notably, Fors Shackelford also served in several marketing leadership roles at UnitedHealth Group's Optum over the course of six years, where she was instrumental in shaping the company’s business-to-business marketing initiatives. Recognized as a thought leader in healthcare marketing, Fors Shackelford is a frequent speaker at industry conferences, a prolific writer for leading publications, and holds an MBA from the University of St. Thomas.
