Amulet Capital Partners Acquires Genetics & IVF Institute

Investment to Support GIVF’s Growth and Mission to Help More Patients Build Their Families

GREENWICH, Conn.--()--Amulet Capital Partners, LP (“Amulet”), a middle-market private equity investment firm focused exclusively on the healthcare sector, today announced it has acquired the Genetics & IVF Institute (“GIVF” or the “Company), a leading provider of reproductive tissue banking and related reproductive technology services. The transaction includes significant co-investment from a consortium of Amulet Limited Partners. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Founded in 1984, GIVF has grown into one of the world’s largest providers of frozen donor sperm and frozen donor eggs and a leading provider of cryostorage for embryos, sperm and eggs in the United States. The Company currently operates leading multi-national brands including Fairfax Cryobank and Fairfax Eggbank. Following the transaction, GIVF will continue to be led by Co-CEOs Nadeem Malik and Sean Swindell.

Over the past 40 years, GIVF has established itself as a critical resource within the fertility space, and we are thrilled to partner with Nadeem and Sean to drive the Company’s next phase of growth,” said Jay Rose, Managing Partner of Amulet. “As investors in the fertility industry for nearly five years, we have deep respect for all that GIVF has accomplished and, as our second platform investment in the space, we believe we are uniquely positioned to support the company’s long-term objectives. We look forward to working closely with the Company to capitalize on its momentum and serve patients across the U.S. and abroad, as well as partner with leading fertility clinics throughout the country.”

This is an exciting milestone for GIVF, one which underscores the importance of our work and serves as a testament to our team’s innovative spirit and dedication to client care,” said Nadeem Malik, Co-CEO of GIVF. “As the need for fertility and reproductive healthcare services only continues to rise, it is more important than ever that we are positioned to invest in our team, platform, and scale in order to help more families. We know Amulet’s investment will support that mission, and we look forward to working with their team and benefitting from their resources and expertise as we enter our next stage of growth.”

GIVF has played a critical role in meeting the significant demand for fertility and fertility-adjacent services,” said Sam Brinkley, Principal at Amulet. “Under the leadership of Sean and Nadeem, the Company has become an integral component in thousands of families’ journeys to realize the joys of family building. At such a critical moment for fertility patient care, we are honored to partner with the GIVF team and provide them with the resources to expand access to thousands of hopeful parents in need of donor tissue and similar reproductive services.”

This is all about building on our four-decade heritage of providing compassionate care,” said Sean Swindell, Co-CEO of GIVF. “Through this transaction, we gain an investment partner that deeply understands our business, shares our mission, vision, and values, and positions us to further develop and expand our service offerings to deliver greater value for the patients we serve.”

This is Amulet’s third investment out of Amulet Capital Fund III, following its partnership with minds + assembly, a full-service, design-centric agency and commercialization platform servicing the pharmaceutical, biotech and digital health industries; and Alliance Clinical Network, a leading comprehensive clinical platform serving patients, pharmaceutical sponsors and CROs across numerous clinical areas.
