HealthTrust Performance Group Annual Conference Celebrates 25 Years of Serving Members’ Performance Needs

NASHVILLE, Tenn.--()--HealthTrust Performance Group, a leading healthcare performance improvement organization serving 1,800 hospitals and more than 70,000 non-acute facilities, drew record attendance of members, suppliers and exhibitors at the HealthTrust University Conference (HTU) held August 12-14 in Orlando, Florida.

In observing 25 years of serving the unique needs of healthcare providers, HTU 2024 offered participants access to a number of programs, including: three general sessions featuring HealthTrust executives and best-in-class keynotes, over 40 continuing education classes, professional development courses, advisory board meetings, an exhibit hall showcasing suppliers, and an exciting kick-off party headlined by Sugar Ray. Over the course of three days, leaders and specialists in supply chain optimization and service-line operations as well as clinicians, pharmacists and healthcare executives immersed themselves in education, networking and best-practice sharing focused on improving patient outcomes and financial performance.

Attendees took away actionable solutions to pressing issues in healthcare such as staffing, artificial intelligence, human trafficking and forced labor, environmental and social impact, and innovation/technology. More than 100 subject matter experts led education sessions with Continuing Education credits, along with micro-sessions covering topics such as value analysis, health disparity, and GLP-1 drugs for diabetes and weight loss. Just prior to HTU, HealthTrust Pharmacy Services held a two-day collaborative summit on the 340B drug program, bringing together members to hear from manufacturers and wholesalers to learn about opportunities and challenges in the 340B landscape.

In reflecting on the company’s first 25 years, HealthTrust Performance Group president and CEO, Ed Jones stated, “We have spent a quarter of a century dedicated to serving our membership. Since day 1, we have measured success only by the success of those we serve. Our philosophy has been and always will be putting patients first and building an aligned, collaborative membership. We will never lose sight of these foundational principles.”

A number of organizations were presented with prestigious Member Recognition Awards: Virtua Health System for operational excellence, Scripps Health for clinical excellence, Kelsey-Seybold Clinic for pharmacy excellence, and Mercy for innovation. CoxHealth was named the 2024 Outstanding Member for achieving its annual savings objective in the first six months of membership and realizing substantial savings within its first year of joining HealthTrust. Jimmy Lewis, CEO of HomeTown Health, was presented with the inaugural Legacy Award for decades of contributions to rural healthcare organizations and providers.
