LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mad Engine announced today that it has appointed three new members to its C-Suite. The new members are Angelina Yagudayev as Chief Merchandising Officer (CMO), Christine Bettles as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Gina Cappi as Chief Creative Officer (CCO). With these newly filled positions on its leadership team, Mad Engine is well-positioned to continue building its legacy as the leading global licensed apparel and accessory company.
Angelina Yagudayev has been promoted to CMO, after serving as Executive Vice President of Mad Engine’s Canada Division. Yagudayev began her career at Mad Engine over a decade ago when she was hired to expand Mad Engine’s sales presence in the Canadian market. She quickly became the leader of the entire Canada Division overseeing sales, creative, production and operations. Since joining the Mad Engine team, Yagudayev has led Mad Engine Canada to become one of the biggest distributors of licensed goods in the Canadian market. Serving as CMO, she will manage and oversee Mad Engine’s entire Sales Division for the US, Canada and all additional markets.
“Angelina is a powerhouse in the licensed apparel industry, excelling at identifying great brands and matching them with the right retail partner creating a win-win for our retailer and licensor partners,” said Danish Gajiani, Mad Engine’s CEO. “Just as importantly, she operates thoughtfully with intention and empathy, ensuring that the Mad Engine sales team will have the tools it needs to fuel growth well into the future.”
Christine Bettles has been appointed as Mad Engine’s CFO. Bettles began her career with PwC, a ‘Big Four’ accounting firm, before moving into the world of apparel. She quickly became a CFO for several apparel companies, including one of Mad Engine’s competitors.
“Christine’s extensive experience in finance, apparel and strategic planning will provide an invaluable asset to our organization as we continue to grow our current categories and evaluate expanding into new products and markets,” continued Gajiani. “As an added bonus, she has deep industry experience with retailers and licensors and strong relationships with numerous Mad Engine team members, the company is ecstatic to bring her aboard.”
Gina Cappi will now serve as Mad Engine’s CCO. Formerly Mad Engine’s Senior Vice President of the Kids Division, Cappi has been an incredible addition to the Mad Engine team since she joined more than ten years ago. Cappi started Mad Engine’s Girls Division at a time when Mad Engine had not yet targeted that category. Cappi built the Girls Division by obtaining excellent content and marrying it with Mad Engine’s industry-leading design and sales, growing it to one of Mad Engine’s strongest categories, proving her talent and undeniable expertise.
“Gina’s blend of creativity, merchandising and overall sales strategy coupled with her laser focus on growing brands and providing retailers with innovative products that move at retail made her a natural fit,” said Gajiani. “In her new position, she will oversee Mad Engine’s best-in-class design department and will be tasked with using her storytelling and merchandising skills to bridge the gap between sales, design and content. The team could not have chosen a better person.”
