Standard Chartered US Earns Recognition on Seramount’s 2024 Inclusion Index

Second year of workplace inclusion recognition for the Bank

NEW YORK--()--Standard Chartered US (the “Bank”) announced today that it has been named to the Seramount Inclusion Index for the second year in a row. This recognition underscores Standard Chartered’s ongoing commitment to fostering an equitable and inclusive workplace across its operations.

“We are proud to be recognized again by Seramount,” said Patricia Fuster, Standard Chartered’s Chief Information Officer for Europe and Americas and Chair of Americas’ Diversity and Inclusion Council. “At Standard Chartered, we actively seek and embrace diverse backgrounds and perspectives. By practicing unbiased empathy, we want our employees to feel seen and heard. I truly believe that empowering our employees to leverage their unique perspectives and pursue their passions not only fosters fulfillment at work but also drives our collective success."

“We take immense pride in the effectiveness of DEI best practices among our Inclusion Index organizations,” said Katie Oertli Mooney, Managing Director of Seramount. “These organizations consistently raise the bar on building and sustaining inclusive workplaces with their unwavering commitment, even in the face of today’s DEI backlash.”

The Inclusion Index provides organizations the metrics needed to understand trends and opportunities in demographic representation, creates a road map to drive internal change, and identifies diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) solutions to close any gaps. Organizations provided data and were measured in three key areas: best practices in the recruitment, retention, and advancement of people from underrepresented groups—women, racial/ethnic groups, people with disabilities, and LGBTQ+ people; inclusive company culture; and demographic diversity.

Standard Chartered US has been recognized as one of the Best Companies for Multicultural Women by Seramount and has also been named one of the 100 Best Companies for 2024.
