MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF), in collaboration with the University of Miami Public Health Policy Lab, will cohost a webinar, "Long COVID: An Emerging Global Health Crisis,” on Tuesday, August 27 at 11:00 a.m. EDT, virtually via Zoom. Click here to register.
Health systems face the concurrent challenges of coping with surges in SARS-CoV-2 infections and reinfections and caring for the estimated 7-15% of COVID-19 survivors who show new, recurring, or ongoing symptoms for weeks, months, or years post-infection. As SARS-CoV-2 transitions into endemicity, this potentially translates into hundreds of millions of people affected globally by long COVID.
This expert panel will bring together distinguished clinicians and public health researchers to discuss the present landscapes of long COVID care and research to promote comprehensive understanding of long COVID as an evolving public health crisis and to generate constructive dialogue that will contribute to clinical practice, research, and policy on long COVID.
