ANGELES CITY, Philippines--(BUSINESS WIRE)--iQor, a managed services provider of customer engagement and technology-enabled business process outsourcing (BPO) solutions, has partnered with Rapid Tech to donate more than 400 refurbished computers to 53 public schools in Angeles City. The donation event took place Aug. 14 at the Department of Education Gabaldon Office Building in Angeles City.
“Education and youth development are cornerstones for growth,” said iQor Chief People Officer Fleurette Navarro. “This donation is a testament to iQor’s commitment to support the communities in which we operate and our dedication to empower students with the technology they need to succeed. We’re driven by our Need to Give Back and are thrilled about the opportunities these computers will offer local children.”
iQor provided more than 400 computers and partnered with Rapid Tech to prepare each unit for immediate use, clearing drives, installing new Windows operating systems, and equipping each one with a keyboard and mouse.
The computer donations are part of a collaborative effort between the Department of Education and the business community to support digital learning in the region. The Department of Education identified the need for these computers in the schools, ensuring every public school in Angeles City will benefit from this donation. The initiative aims to bridge the digital divide and empower students and teachers with the tools necessary for a more dynamic and interactive learning experience while promoting environmental sustainability through the preservation of computer hardware.
iQor Philippines Country Lead Rod Hoddinott and iQor Chief People Officer Fleurette Navarro were joined by Clark Angeles Vice Mayor Maria Vicenta Vega; City Attorney Raphaela Kercee Vendel Pineda Lazatin; Asst. Division Schools Superintendent Enrique Angeles Jr.; and Senior Education Program Specialist Alberto Otchengco. Rapid Tech General Manager Kristin Santos also attended.
