SAN FRANCISCO--()--Trove, a leader in branded resale and customer trade-in, has further solidified its industry standing by acquiring Recurate, a significant player in the branded resale market. This acquisition underscores Trove's commitment to making branded resale more accessible and easier to launch and scale for brands.

By integrating Trove’s market-leading resale capabilities, including store trade-ins, digital trade-ins, returns processing, non-new inventory management, and resale site building and management with Recurate’s peer-to-peer expertise, operational network, and Shopify integrations, this merger creates a one-stop shop for brands to tailor, launch, and scale profitable resale programs that best suit their needs.

With this acquisition, Trove now commands over 75% of total U.S. branded resale traffic, cementing its status as the market leader in resale technology. This growth is further supported by 29 new brand partners, including Steve Madden, Frank & Eileen, Frye, Coyuchi, Clare V., and Michael Kors.

Branded resale is increasingly proving its value, not only as an environmentally sustainable initiative but also as a profitable business strategy. Trove’s branded resale programs, known for driving revenue growth, attracting new customers, and improving margins, can now launch in as little as four weeks and scale effortlessly to any level.

Recurate’s co-founders, Wilson Griffin, former CEO, and Adam Siegel, former CPO & COO, will join Trove’s executive team.

We’re thrilled to welcome Recurate’s talented team, innovative technology, and trail-blazing brands to Trove,” said Terry Boyle, CEO of Trove. “This strategic acquisition strengthens our ability to provide brands with the tools they need to excel in the circular economy, offering greater flexibility and faster go-to-market solutions.”

Joining forces with Trove allows us to offer a one-stop shop with best-in-class resale solutions,” said Wilson Griffin, former CEO of Recurate. “We’re excited to be able to offer these solutions to our existing customers while bringing more brands into resale. Our combined services will provide brands a breadth of resale models and program design. We look forward to accelerating the resale space with Trove as we move into this next phase.”

Trove is poised for continued global expansion, with a focus on new enterprise partnerships in Europe and the United Kingdom, while also driving growth in its established North American operations.
