twentyonegrains Opens New Location at Dekalb Market Hall in Downtown Brooklyn

Gluten-free fast-casual chain brings its delicious wraps, salads, and bowls to Brooklyn

NEW YORK--()--twentyonegrains, a gluten-free fast-casual restaurant chain, announces the grand opening of its third location at Dekalb Market Hall in Downtown Brooklyn. This expansion marks the company's entry into Brooklyn, where locals can now savor the beloved Spicy Chicken Caesar Wrap and an entire menu of gluten-free wraps, salads, and bowls.

twentyonegrains is the creation of hospitality veteran Valerio Arena. Founded in 2021 with investment backing from sibling duo Andrew and Evan Hutsell, the company launched its first location at the W 52nd Street Urbanspace during a challenging post-COVID environment for restaurants. Fortunately, as the city has experienced a resurgence in foot traffic, twentyonegrains has successfully ridden this wave to unveil its third store at Dekalb Market Hall.

Founder Valerio Arena, who developed the concept for twentyonegrains while serving as the Maitre d' at Michelin-starred Aureole, was motivated by his diagnosis of Celiac Disease. Confronted with the difficulty of finding tasty, reliable gluten-free food, Arena envisioned a fast-casual restaurant to make gluten-free dining more accessible. As the company has expanded, it has embraced a broader mission to cater to diverse dietary preferences and serve clean, wholesome food for all eaters.

Expressing cautious optimism about the new Brooklyn location, Arena remarks, "This is our first venture into Brooklyn, and we're thrilled to bring our food to a new audience. Dekalb Market Hall is one of New York's most vibrant food destinations, making it the perfect place to establish our footprint in Brooklyn."

Inspired by industry heavyweights like Chipotle, Cava, and Sweetgreen, twentyonegrains aspires to follow a similar path by bringing its clean, gluten-free identity to more neighborhoods in New York and beyond.

Arena adds, "We are still a young company, and this new location is a stepping stone for enhancing our food, operations, and customer experience. We set high standards for our staff and are committed to delighting our customers every day."

The store officially opens on Friday, August 9th and is centrally located in Dekalb Market Hall. Look for their station, distinguished by its signature light green and white colors. Their offerings are also available online through their website, where customers can enjoy loyalty rewards, as well as on all major food delivery platforms.
