MEMPHIS, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® has been named the Most Trusted Nonprofit in the Most Trusted Nonprofits of 2024 survey by business intelligence company Morning Consult. St. Jude also achieved a higher net trust score than all for-profit brands, indicating widespread familiarity with and trust in the iconic children’s hospital and research institution.
Morning Consult surveyed a representative sample of more than 4,000 U.S. adults across generations from Boomer, Gen X, Millennial and Gen Z groups this year, asking respondents how much they trusted 50 major nonprofits to do the right thing. Based on these responses, the nonprofit brands were ranked by net trust, with St. Jude emerging on top for the third consecutive year. Earlier this year, Morning Consult conducted a similar study of for-profit brands, and the St. Jude net trust score exceeded those scores, too.
“People deserve to have the utmost trust in the organizations they support, which is why we’re so honored and incredibly grateful that the Morning Consult survey found St. Jude to have the highest net trust score of any brand — not-for-profit or for-profit,” said Richard C. Shadyac, Jr., President and CEO of ALSAC the fundraising and awareness organization for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. “This ranking represents the faith we’re so thankful to have placed in us by dedicated supporters, some new to the St. Jude mission and some who have been with us for decades. Thanks to them, we are able to ensure that every child has a chance to live their best life and celebrate every moment.”
This news follows the recent announcement that St. Jude Children's Research Hospital has been named the top employer of choice among Gen Z in the National Society of High School Scholars 2024 career survey (up from #2 in the previous survey conducted in 2022). The survey was answered by more 10,000 high-achieving high school, college, and recent college graduates.
