AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Rastegar (“Rastegar” or the “Company”), the real estate investment and development company based in Austin, Texas, today announced the appointment of Fatma Tarlaci, Ph.D. as its Chief Technology Officer, effective immediately.
A technologist with over a decade of experience in artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML) and data science technologies, Dr. Tarlaci will be responsible for developing best-in-class proprietary AI tools for Rastegar that will support the firm’s bullish real estate investment strategy and long-term growth.

Prior to Rastegar, Dr. Tarlaci was Vice President of Engineering at OpenTeams Inc., where she oversaw the software development cycle and led cross-disciplinary teams in delivering technical solutions that aligned with business needs.

Dr. Tarlaci holds a Master of Science in computer science from Stanford University, as well as a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from the University of Texas at Austin. She currently serves as Adjunct Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the University of Texas at Austin, and previously led a computer programming course at Stanford University, as well.
