WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sparkfund, a leading energy transition partner specializing in program management, financing, and implementation services for utilities and building owners, today announced the expansion of its team with three new hires. Industry veteran Sarah Spencer-Workman will be welcomed as Executive Vice President of Customer Solutions, while experts Chenoa Warner and Nicholas Mart enter the roles of Vice President of Talent & Culture and Director of Program Commercialization, respectively.
Sarah Spencer-Workman has more than seventeen years of experience in the energy and sustainability sector. In her former role as Senior Global Director of Decarbonization, at the leading commercial real estate services firm CBRE, Sarah led global decarbonization efforts that resulted in successful energy transition and low carbon outcomes for assets across over 170 countries and 70 million square feet. As the new Executive Vice President of Customer Solutions, Sarah will be responsible for capitalizing on the convergence of customer needs and capabilities. By leveraging her expertise, she will spearhead the continued growth of Sparkfund's customer solutions. These solutions empower building owners and operators to address rising costs, maintain operational resilience, and streamline the financing and implementation of energy transition and renewable solutions.
“I am thrilled to be joining the Sparkfund team. The company’s mission to accelerate the energy transition by making buildings a valuable extension of the grid resonates deeply with my passion for decarbonizing the built environment,” said Spencer-Workman. “I look forward to working with this innovative team to build on Sparkfund’s work to date, developing and delivering solutions that help our customers navigate the complex world of deploying energy technologies.”
Sparkfund’s hires of Warner and Mart further strengthen the company with VP and director-level expertise from teams helping property owners achieve energy and operational goals. As the former Head of People Operations & Business Operations at Carbon Lighthouse, Warner brings valuable experience in building teams focused on decarbonizing the built environment and fostering inclusive, diverse, and engaging work environments. Mart brings a wealth of power sector knowledge from his decade-long tenure in program management and engineering at Exelon companies PECO and Pepco Holdings, where he supported Exelon’s distributed energy resource (DER) strategy work streams.
“We are incredibly excited to welcome our new team members to support Sparkfund’s mission of transforming buildings into a valuable extension of the energy grid,” said Pier LaFarge, CEO and Co-founder at Sparkfund. “Their addition builds on our momentum working with utilities, power providers, and commercial property owners to deploy distributed energy technologies. "We're thrilled to add this sort of talent and experience to the team. It's an exciting moment in the energy transition. We're ready to do the work to achieve our mission."
