PointClickCare Pledges $75,000 to the Foundation for PALTC Medicine

Funds will immediately benefit research and workforce development initiatives to improve senior care education and care outcomes

TORONTO--()--The Foundation for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care (PALTC) Medicine is pleased to announce a donation from PointClickCare, a leading healthcare technology platform enabling meaningful care collaboration and real‐time patient insights, and a longstanding valued PALTC industry partner. PointClickCare has committed to donating $25,000 over the next three years, totaling $75,000, which will directly benefit the Foundation’s national research grants program and workforce development initiatives.

“I am so grateful for the astute leaders at PointClickCare who have made a generous and sustained commitment to support the work of the Foundation for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine to enhance research and workforce development, the latter through our Futures Program,” said Heidi White, MD, MHS, MEd, CMD, Chair at the Foundation for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care (PALTC) Medicine. “PointClickCare has worked diligently to adapt its products to meet the unique needs of the long-term care setting and, in so doing, has become a collaborator and partner in high-quality health care, which is evident in its philanthropic generosity. We hope to engage even more industry partners to support our mission in the weeks and months ahead.”

In 2023, the Foundation for PALTC Medicine allocated $90,500 in support of national research and clinical efforts to advance the field of post-acute and long-term care medicine and funded 80 advanced practitioners to participate in the 2024 Futures Program to better understand the work and benefits of practicing in post-acute and long-term care.

PointClickCare’s donation will help fund innovative national research projects impacting the PALTC medical field and attract future practitioners with the opportunity to engage in the PALTC field of medicine for their professional pursuits.

“We are proud to invest in an organization like the Foundation for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine that is committed to improving the well-being and dignity of our elderly population through better education and research,” says Angeline Pleunis, Vice President of DEI and Sustainability at PointClickCare. “This contribution underscores our commitment to enhancing senior care and ensuring that every individual receives the quality care they deserve, and that clinicians are supported in their roles. Together, we can create a brighter, healthier future for our seniors.”
