TP-Link Responds to ITC’s Initial Determination

IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--TP-Link®, a leading global provider of consumer and business networking products, today addressed the Initial Determination issued on May 30, 2024 by the Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) at the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) concerning Netgear’s allegation of patent infringement. TP-Link is thoroughly reviewing the Initial Determination and exploring potential next steps.

Jeff Barney, COO, TP-Link USA Corp., said, “We are disappointed with the Administrative Law Judge’s overbroad interpretation of the patent at issue. As an innovative company that develops and manufactures devices using our patented technologies as the backbone for our consumer products, TP-Link respects intellectual property rights. We have been providing U.S. customers with valuable, affordable and top performing networking solutions for decades. As this case progresses, we will consider all our options to protect our innovations, products and global business.”

TP-Link will promptly begin the process of challenging the ALJ’s Initial Determination by seeking Commission review at the ITC. This process is expected to continue through Fall of 2024.
