RBG Unveils Exciting Summer Lineup: A Season of Music, Magic, and Celebration

BURLINGTON, Ontario--()--The Royal Botanical Gardens (RBG) is thrilled to announce a captivating array of summer events for visitors of all ages. This season, RBG will transform into a hub of cultural, artistic, and culinary experiences, offering unforgettable moments in its stunning gardens.

RBG After Dark

RBG After Dark is a 19+ after-hours event series that transforms the gardens into the perfect social evening spot. This summer, RBG is hosting monthly themed events where guests can enjoy custom dining journeys, from sit-down bistro fare to pre-boxed picnic-style dining and food truck options, while listening to live musical entertainment.

Each event offers a unique experience:

  • Summer Pride Party, June 20th: Celebrate Queer Artists with performances by local LGBTQ artists and drag performers.
  • Enchanted at Twilight, July 11th: Stroll amidst Rock Garden while celebrating fantasy, myth and a touch of magic.
  • Summer Salsa, August 15th: Enjoy Latin American cuisine, vibrant salsa dancing, and our signature on-the-rocks cocktail.
  • So Long Summer, September 5th: Bid farewell to summer with seasonal flavors, refreshing cocktails, and live musical entertainment in our outdoor oasis.

Music in the Garden Concert Series
When: July – August

Bring a lawn chair or pack a blanket, grab a cold drink, and immerse yourself in award-winning musical performances set against the stunning backdrop of our picturesque gardens. This exciting series showcases 8 incredible nights of music: 4 presented by Noisemaker and 4 by RBG, featuring acclaimed artists from around Canada and the return of Sarah Harmer to the RBG stage. To officially mark the transition into Fall, join RBG Under the Harvest Moon with Feist.

The Enchanted Garden
When: July 13 and 14th

Step into a world of magic and wonder in the historic Rock Garden. Young adventurers will embark on a whimsical journey through enchanted pathways, discovering fairies, elves, gnomes, and sprites hidden among the blooms and ancient trees.

Ongoing Culinary Experiences

Tea House at the Turner Pavilion
Location: Hendrie Park

Surrounded by the Rose Garden, the Tea House offers an ideal spot to enjoy nature’s tranquility while having lunch, afternoon tea, or a sweet treat.

The Rock Garden Bistro
Location: Rock Garden

The Rock Garden Bistro features a garden-inspired menu with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Its outdoor patio offers a bird’s-eye view of the Rock Garden’s lower bowl, making it a perfect spot to relax amidst nature.

What’s in Bloom?

RBG’s signature Rose Collection offers a stunning garden experience from June to September. Come and smell the roses while exploring their rich history in Hendrie Park.
