NEW YORK--()--Prep for Prep will honor Paula Campbell Roberts, Managing Director, Chief Investment Strategist for Global Wealth at KKR, at the organization’s 2024 Lilac Ball, Monday, June 10 at the New York Marriott Marquis. The gala is the signature annual fundraising and high school graduation event for the nonprofit, which prepares students of color for success in independent schools in the Northeast, colleges and universities across the country, and professions in a host of industries.

In her role, Paula advises the firm's wealth management partners on macroeconomics and asset allocation, with a focus on the role that private assets, including private equity, real estate, infrastructure, and credit, can play in individual investor portfolios. As a Managing Director on the Global Macro, Balance Sheet and Risk (GBR) team, she also works with KKR’s investment teams on the identification and evaluation of macro considerations as it relates to both deployment and monetization opportunities. Paula is a member of the firm’s Global Wealth Executive Committee and GBR Senior Leadership team.

Prior to joining KKR, Paula was an economist at Morgan Stanley and a management consultant at Bain & Co. She is one of 15 members of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York’s Economic Advisory Panel and a member of the Economic Club of New York. Paula attended The Brearley School in New York City, earned a BA from Yale University, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. She is currently a Lincoln Center Leadership Fellow, and she also serves on the boards of the New York City Ballet and the American Friends of Jamaica.

“Paula embodies the Prep motto of excellence, integrity, commitment, and courage,” says Prep for Prep CEO Ruth Jurgensen. “She has impacted the entire Prep community with her commitment to excellence, her dedication to her profession, her commitment as a family member, partner, parent and friend. She is someone we want all of our students to see and hear from because she is a terrific example of the kinds of outcomes Prep for Prep continues to seek for all of our students, who represent the most exceptional young scholars in the city.”

Paula, who gave a speech at the 1994 Lilac Ball as a high school senior, is thrilled to be returning to the Lilac Ball stage. “Prep imbued us with this sense of vision, and confidence to accomplish great things,” says Paula. “Being able to return to this stage 30 years later and see so many of my fellow alums making important contributions to their communities and succeeding in their careers is incredible and is a testament to the lasting impact of Prep for Prep’s model.”
