A Statement From TCEU CUPE Local 416 in Support of ATU Local 113

TORONTO--()--As our City’s transit workers approach their upcoming strike deadline, Toronto Civic Employees’ Union, CUPE Local 416 stands in unwavering solidarity with ATU Local 113.

TCEU Local 416, which represents 8,000 staff across the City Of Toronto, joins the 12,000 member strong transit worker union in their efforts to secure a fair contract that addresses concerns over job security, wages and benefits.

The dedicated workers who operate and maintain North America’s third largest public transit system, the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC), struggle to live in the city they help keep moving every day.

TTC Workers are deserving of a contract that restores dignity, and respects all workers, equitably, as they try their best to serve our communities.

Together, we will strive for fairness for all workers.

On behalf of Local 416,

Eddie Mariconda
President
Toronto Civic Employees’
Union - CUPE Local 416
