Church Pension Group to Host Webinar About the Denominational Health Plan and the Lay Employee Pension System

Will Highlight 15 Years of Working with the General Convention of The Episcopal Church Toward Parity

The Church Pension Group (CPG), a financial services organization that serves The Episcopal Church, announced that it would host a virtual conversation to discuss its efforts to create more parity in benefits between clergy and lay employees of The Episcopal Church through the establishment of the Denominational Health Plan and the Lay Employee Pension System 15 years ago this July. NEW YORK--()--The Church Pension Group (CPG), a financial services organization that serves The Episcopal Church, announced that it would host a virtual conversation to discuss its efforts to create more parity in benefits between clergy and lay employees of The Episcopal Church through the establishment of the Denominational Health Plan and the Lay Employee Pension System 15 years ago this July.

The event will occur on Friday, June 14, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM ET. All Deputies and Bishops attending the 81st General Convention of The Episcopal Church and other clergy, lay employees, volunteers, and lay leaders who serve the Church are invited to register at cpg.org/R2GCwebinar.

“On the 15th anniversary of the Denominational Health Plan and the Lay Employee Pension System, we invite all members of The Episcopal Church into conversation about how CPG has worked with the General Convention to advance the issue of parity between clergy and lay employees of the Church,” said Mary Kate Wold, CEO and President.

“We know there is more work to do, but this discussion will offer those attending the General Convention and others an opportunity to learn more about the work we are doing with the support and encouragement from our friends in both houses of the General Convention,” Ms. Wold concluded.
