BOSTON & NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Stone-Goff Partners (“SGP”), a lower middle market private equity firm focused on technology-driven business-to-business services companies active in the knowledge economy, today announced the funding of a senior credit facility by Balance Point Capital (“Balance Point”) to support the growth of SGP portfolio company John Staurulakis, LLC (“JSI” or the “Company”), a leading nationwide provider of specialty consulting and engineering services to rural broadband telecommunications operators.
The new debt capital will support a refinancing of JSI’s existing credit facilities, fund a distribution and extend capital for future acquisition activity. Balance Point Capital served as the sole lead arranger and administrative agent.
"We’re excited to announce our partnership with Balance Point to support the continued growth of JSI," said Laurens Goff, co-founder and Managing Partner of SGP. "We’ve worked closely with Balance Point and JSI to make sure we’ve found the right structure to allow JSI to build on its significant momentum and continue developing innovative solutions for its customers.”
Founded in 1962 and led by CEO Tasos Tsolakis, JSI combines Regulatory, Financial and Compliance Advisory, Fiber Engineering and Managed Services expertise to bring an end-to-end solutions platform to fast-growing broadband operators nationwide. With a unique mix of re-occurring engagements and a growing suite of technology products, JSI is relied upon by its more than 600 customers to support day-to-day operations and drive strategic initiatives.
“Balance Point is thrilled for the opportunity to partner with both Stone-Goff and JSI,” said Adam Sauerteig, Partner at Balance Point. “There continues to be significant tailwinds for growth in broadband and we have the utmost confidence that Tasos and JSI will remain ahead of the curve.”
