The firm is led by founders Joseph “JJ” Marus, CPWA®, CEPA®, CRPC™ and Lauren P. Norris, CFP®, CPFA™ – who will both serve as Managing Partners and work directly with clients. Prior to starting Vincita, JJ and Lauren worked together at Merrill and have 15 and 10 years of industry experience, respectively.
JJ holds several designations, including Certified Private Wealth Advisor®, Certified Exit Planning Advisor and Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor™. He has also been recognized as part of Forbes "Best-In-State Wealth Advisors" 2018-2023. He received his bachelor’s degree from North Carolina State University where he was an All-American swimmer, a member of the 1999 USA Pan Pacific Games team, and a two-time U.S. Olympic Trials qualifier. He also earned his MBA from MIT's Sloan School of Management.
Lauren holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA™) designations. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Franklin & Marshall College, where she was a two-time All-American lacrosse player. Lauren was also a highly successful college lacrosse coach – guiding her alma mater to a Division III National Championship and thereafter joining the coaching staff at High Point University. She currently serves as the Chair of the Israeli National Women’s Lacrosse Team, which she coached to three World Cup appearances in 2013, 2017, and 2022. In 2021, the Israel Lacrosse Association recognized her as Woman of the Year for her contributions to the development and success of the National Team program.
