Artem and Noom Co-Founder and Executive Chairman Saeju Jeong created Noom in 2008 to focus on helping people live healthier lives. With a focus on creating healthy behaviors using behavioral psychology, they developed a comprehensive health and weight-loss solution to guide and support users through their healthcare journey, providing educational information, online tools and coaching. Since 2008, Noom has grown into a powerhouse health and wellness platform that has helped millions of users lose weight and develop and sustain healthy habits and lifestyles.

As Noom continues to grow, its focus is to reach more people with a greater breadth of metabolic health issues. Noom’s solutions today include telehealth obesity management platform Noom Med, employer and payor platform Noom for Work, Noom’s Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP), as well as new products such as Noom GLP-1 Companion and Noom’s Muscle Defense program, the first program of its kind designed specifically to support patients using GLP-1 medications.

Noom CEO Geoff Cook commented, “Having worked in the area of obesity and health for over 17 years, Artem has devoted much of his career to getting people to live longer and healthier. His vision and passion for that objective are evident and serve as the driving force behind his work at Noom. I appreciate all that he has done as President, and look forward to his continued contributions leading Noom Ventures, and advising me.”

As Noom’s President, over many years, Artem has led every company function, helping build Noom into the leading wellness, psychology and behavior change company. His unmatched expertise in combining psychology and technology has informed the company’s unique marketing, product direction and brand. All the while, Artem and Co-Founder, Saeju Jeong, built a company that has earned many “Best Places to Work” awards over the years.

“I’m excited about the many things ahead for Noom and looking forward to helping it grow in my new role,” said Artem Petakov, Head of Noom Ventures. “I am delighted to continue working with Geoff, Saeju, and the Board on advancing the Noom mission – Noom is still in the early days, and I see great potential ahead of it.”
