CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Madaket Health, the leading platform for provider-payer collaboration and data exchange, today announced that Megan Schmidt and Tim Suther have joined the company’s board of directors. The healthcare leaders will support Madaket CEO Eric Demers and the leadership team. They will assist the company in executing its strategic vision to maximize the value of provider networks by simplifying and automating provider data management for payers and providers at scale to help clients identify and capture up to billions of dollars in lost revenue.
Tim Suther has more than three decades of experience maximizing value through data, analytics, and technology transformation. Suther previously served as Managing Director of JPMorgan Chase & Co., and Chief Marketing & Strategy Officer at Acxiom. Most recently, he led Change Healthcare’s Data Solutions business and its multi-billion-dollar sale and integration into Optum Insight. At Suther Strategic LLC, he advises numerous firms on driving growth and innovation with data and analytics. Suther also serves on the Steering Committee of the Coalition for Health AI and as Vice Chairman of the Loras College Board of Regents.
“Healthcare is far too often compromised by inefficient and inaccurate data sharing, leading to avoidable errors, poor patient outcomes, and subpar economic performance for payers and providers alike,” said Suther. “Madaket’s deep focus on automating and continuously distributing accurate provider data helps to ensure payers comply with the No Surprises Act and helps providers better retain in-network revenue.”
Megan Schmidt is a senior healthcare executive with over 20 years of experience leading and developing high-performing teams. She served as a senior vice president at HealthPartners and Priority Health, where she led commercial market growth and profit and loss teams and introduced market growth strategies for employer exchanges, captives, MGUs, and carrier alliance partnerships. Her work focused on successfully leading and driving growth and delivering differentiation, innovation, and value proposition alignment for sustained success in the commercial insurance market.
"As the needs of the industry evolve, Madaket is solving administrative challenges burdening the entire healthcare ecosystem," said Schmidt. "I look forward to joining Madaket's board as it helps providers and payers accelerate efficiency, eliminate waste, and improve member satisfaction."
“Megan and Tim are health industry leaders and will provide extensive knowledge on provider and health plan operations that will benefit our team and help us extend further value to our clients and partners. This will greatly enhance our market offerings of impartial, uniform solutions that benefit payers, providers, clearinghouses, and everyone in between," said Madaket CEO Eric Demers.
Combining the power of its Provider Data Management (PDM) platform and Provider Directory, Madaket offers a single source of truth for the most accurate and up-to-date information on the market with its Provider Data Exchange (PDX) system. The real-time provider directory updates also help payers comply with the No Surprises Act’s 48-hour requirement effortlessly.
