GOLDEN, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Snowden Lane Partners, an independent, advisor-owned, wealth advisory firm dedicated to providing client-focused advice in a values-driven culture, today announced that Schuyler Cayton has joined the firm as Partner and Managing Director. He will be joined by his father, Wendell Cayton, who will serve as Partner and Managing Director, in addition to Senior Client Relationship Manager, Erika Winters.
They will form Snowden Lane’s latest team, Mountain West Advisors, with $100 million in total client assets, and spearhead the opening of the firm’s 14th office location in Golden, Colorado.
Snowden Lane now boasts offices in 10 different states, with the Colorado location giving the firm a presence in each of the contiguous states’ four different time zones.

Prior to joining Snowden Lane, Schuyler served as the principal and owner of Wealth Management Associates of Colorado, an independent financial services company. Winters worked alongside Schuyler at the firm. She graduated from Kansas State University and Washburn University School of Law and has a background in consumer protection and antitrust law.
In addition to his experience in the independent wealth management space, Schuyler also worked as a financial advisor at Wells Fargo, working directly with individual clients, 401(k) participants and 401(k) plan sponsors. He obtained his Certified Financial Planner™ certificate in 2011 and currently holds Series 7 and Series 66 licenses.
Before beginning his career in financial services, Schuyler graduated from Middlebury College in Vermont, where he played football, and spent time learning and working in the custom home building, real estate and ski industries.
Wendell Cayton has 36 years of experience in the industry, having worked for Wealth Management Associates and Transamerica, among other firms. He served for six years in the U.S. Marine Corps and graduated from Brigham Young University. He was an adjunct professor in the financial planning program at Golden Gate University, from which he received a master’s degree in financial services.
