BRENTWOOD, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Tractor Supply Company (NASDAQ: TSCO), the largest rural lifestyle retailer in the United States, today released its 2022 Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) report. For the fourth consecutive year, the report is aligned with the TCFD’s recommendations for climate disclosure and includes information on Tractor Supply’s operations structured around four thematic areas: governance, strategy, risk management and metrics and targets.
Tractor Supply has also announced its commitment to setting science-based targets to reduce carbon emissions, in line with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). These goals will create a reduction pathway that enables future generations to steward the land for years to come. Tractor Supply is in the process of developing science-based targets which will be submitted and validated by SBTi. These new targets will replace existing emissions targets covering Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3, and hold the Company accountable for more meaningful reductions.
“We take our responsibility to be good stewards seriously. For the fourth consecutive year, we are pleased to release our TCFD report, in addition to announcing our commitment to align our carbon reduction goals with SBTi,” said Noni Ellison, general counsel and head of stewardship efforts for Tractor Supply. “We believe these efforts create resiliency not only for the environment and future of Life Out Here, but also for our company, shareholders and team members.”
