The PROG Development Center offers young adults the chance to develop skills and resources to help enhance socioeconomic opportunity

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah--()--The PROG Foundation, the non-profit founded by PROG Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:PRG), announces a community open house event celebrating the grand opening of its PROG Development Center in West Valley City, UT on Thursday, November 9, 2023.

The PROG Holdings Foundation was created to improve lives by increasing access to technology, education, and development that enhances socioeconomic opportunity. With the opening of the PROG Development Center, the Foundation has a welcoming space for young adults in the greater West Valley City area to access in-person and hybrid programming, initiatives, and other offerings designed to develop the skills and resources necessary to help positively shape their futures.

PROG Development Center programs were created collaboratively with community leaders, local organizations and businesses, Granite School District representatives, and current and former high school students to offer access to a diverse set of post-graduation opportunities, including college, tech certificate programs, and career paths, for young adults primarily between the ages of 16-24.

More than twenty years ago, we started Progressive Leasing to build technologies that make financial products more inclusive and accessible to underserved groups, and that mission of inclusion and accessibility has remained at the core of everything PROG does to this day,” said Curt Doman, founder of Progressive Leasing and Chairman of the PROG Foundation. “The PROG Development Center is the next phase of our commitment to PROG’s values of ‘Doing the Right Thing, Period’ and ‘Valuing People Above All Else,’ and I am proud of our past and future efforts towards creating educational and socioeconomic opportunities that help uplift young adults in West Valley City and beyond.”

It has been an honor working alongside youth and community members to make the PROG Development Center a reality, and we are excited to be able to open our doors to the public,” said Beth Martial, Director of the PROG Development Center. “Thanks to the hard work and support of each individual, Youth Advisory and Steering Council members, colleagues, and partners, the PROG Foundation is now offering youth in the Greater West Valley City a space to access the technology, education, and development opportunities they desire.”

Collaboration with active and involved Utah business leaders like PROG Holdings can be a powerful tool to help enhance the growth and development of our communities,” said West Valley City Mayor Karen Lang. “I am happy to welcome the PROG Development Center as a great resource for young adults in West Valley City to find the support and tools they need to help unlock their future potential.”
