Physicians and their practices are choosing to become part of Consensus Health’s Medical Group, due to myriad advantages they receive from the larger medical group model found here. Benefits include, but are not limited to, participating in value-based programs to demonstrate the benefits of improving population health outcomes; gaining access to various administrative support services; utilizing various technology platforms and enhanced turn-key practice processes; and, gaining a greater voice when dealing with contracting across many areas of the business. Additionally, being part of Consensus Health Medical Group affords member physicians clinical autonomy, which many doctors unfortunately feel has been lost by the wayside amid today’s changing healthcare landscape. Independent physicians cite the main reason for practicing autonomously as their ability to retain their freedoms to focus on patient care – first and foremost – while remaining well-positioned to make the best decisions about their paths of care.

“Consensus Health Medical Group continues to grow as a result of the environment along with the depth of services and support we bring to our member physicians. The premise of our care model lies in upholding the important role independent physicians play in patient care and helps improve outcomes. We have never wavered from this culture, and by encouraging clinical autonomy, our physicians are able to focus on care and leave the administrative burdens to us. It truly is an advantageous situation for all,” explained Michael Lovett, Consensus Health president and chief operating officer.

“We welcome these newest practices to our network, which has grown in size by approximately 20 percent for the first nine months of 2023 alone. We expect this momentum to continue as our model is consistently embraced by NJ-based doctors all across the state,” Lovett said.
