NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Neon Money Club, a digital financial wellness and investment platform, today announced the launch of the Neon Money Club Cream American Express Card. This is the next step in Neon Money Club’s mission to make financial wellness a positive lifestyle experience by tapping into people’s cultural affinities.
“We believe that achieving financial wellness should feel more like a positive routine embedded into our lifestyles, putting ourselves in a position financially to do important things. Cardmembers will not only be able to buy-in to the experiences and brands they love as consumers; they can also become asset owners by using their rewards for stocks on the US stock market through the Neon Money Club app,” said Luke Bailey, Co-founder & CEO of Neon Money Club. “We’ve always viewed the American Express brand as the closest experience to making financial wellness a lifestyle. This partnership was carefully crafted with community in mind, and allows Neon Money Club to propel our mission to our members.”
Real Friends Get Money Together
Neon Money Club was created “For the People.” The Cream Card lets you invest Neon Money Club’s reward points into the US stock market through Neon Money Club’s app, and earn bonus points with friends. Members can earn up to 800 individual bonus points per month when they form crews by connecting with other Cream Card holders in the Neon Money Club app.
The Cream Card empowers members to invest. It earns 1.5 points on all spending. Cardmembers will receive double the redemption value of their Neon Money Club points when they use points for stock on the Neon Money Club app or website. In addition, the Cream Card is packed with benefits from the American Express Network, including Amex Offers (for shopping, travel, dining, services, entertainment, etc.), presale ticket access, dining benefits, and purchase protections.
“Working with Neon Money Club to launch the Cream Card is another example of how we’re empowering fintechs to innovate on our network,” said William Stredwick, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Global Network Services North America at American Express. “We were inspired by Neon Money Club’s mission to make financial wellness accessible to more people, and we wanted to elevate that experience by offering their customers access to the benefits of the American Express Network.”
Quiet Design with Big Flex:
The Cream Card’s design is as ambitious as it is simple. It’s a statement piece, made to say less about Neon Money Club and more about the member who holds it. Made of smooth, lightweight metal and 65% recycled material, the Cream Card weighs in at 14 grams and slips into the thinnest wallet.
The iconic American Express Bluebox logo is laser engraved into the metal surface of the card which will not include card numbers for an additional layer of security. The card's signature hue was hand-developed over multiple sessions to create the perfect shade of matte cream, giving off a neon-like overlay in low light. The color is a metaphor for rising to the top and a subtle nod to the club’s hip-hop roots. The Cream Card is available to pre-order starting November 1st exclusively at neonmoneyclub.com.
