With 92% of Walmart customers expressing some level of concern about inflation1 and how it will impact holiday celebrations, Walmart is doubling down on its commitment to saving customers more money. Today, the retailer kicks off the holiday season announcing:
- Unprecedented savings: Over the past year, Walmart saved its customers more than $1 billion on seasonal baskets and Rollbacks, from Thanksgiving to Easter to the back-to-school season. Saving customers money is in Walmart’s DNA, and at a time when customers need it most, the retailer is pulling out all the stops this holiday season to again deliver unprecedented savings.
- Inflation fighting: Starting Nov.1, Walmart is again removing inflation to offer a traditional Thanksgiving meal on customers’ favorite brands at an even lower price than last year, making it even easier and more affordable for customers to set their holiday table so they can focus on what matters, spending time with loved ones.
- Unmatched convenience and assortment: Walmart is delivering exceptional value this holiday, no matter when, where or how customers shop. The company is offering even deeper savings with more frequent deals on top of its Every Day Low Prices on an expanded assortment of must-have gifts from top brands. An improved shopping experience with expanded pickup and delivery options make shopping easier, faster and more fun, from Black Friday to Cyber Monday to last-minute gifts.

Celebrating A Year of Saving Customers Money
In the face of record-breaking inflation last year, Walmart made significant investments on top of its everyday low prices to offer a traditional Thanksgiving meal at 2021’s price – and the retailer didn’t stop there. Walmart made additional investments throughout the year, from Easter to summer to back-to-school so customers could focus on celebrating life’s most exciting moments.

Even Bigger Thanksgiving Meal Savings – Starting Nov. 1
To meet customers’ needs, Walmart is offering two Thanksgiving meal options at an even lower price than last year, one with ingredients for customers who like to cook from scratch, and one for customers who like more convenient, ready-to-bake options.
Walmart’s Thanksgiving meal includes customers’ favorites and fixings including many national brands, from turkey (for under $1/lb.!) and ham to stuffing and pumpkin pie. Best of all, customers can effortlessly purchase these meal baskets with a single click on Walmart.com or the Walmart app for quick and easy pickup or delivery in as soon as 30 minutes and up to 90 minutes.
Starting Nov. 1 and valid through Dec. 26, 2023, customers can take advantage of these savings for all their holiday meals. No matter when, where or how customers prefer to shop, they can feel confident Walmart will have a strong supply of in-stock turkeys, hams and all the fixings at even better prices than last year.
More deals, More often, All Season Long
Customers can trust Walmart to deliver with deeper savings on the most popular gifts across apparel, beauty, electronics, home, toys and more. This holiday season, Walmart will have more deals, more often, as well as offering thousands more Rollbacks across key gifting categories so customers can save even more. With 60% of Walmart customers reporting inflation will affect holiday budgeting and lead to more intentional gifting2, Walmart is helping customers save early and often on the best gifts of the season, with many more exciting deals events to come.
To help customers find exactly what they’re wishing for, Walmart has aggressively expanded its assortment of holiday gifts with more items, more exciting new brands and more Walmart exclusives. In toys alone, Walmart has over 1,000 new items, more than 500 Walmart-exclusives and more than 25 of Walmart’s 2023 Top Toys are under $25, including list toppers from Barbie, LEGO, Pokémon and Squishmallows. For customers searching for the perfect gift, Walmart has an expanded assortment of lab-grown diamonds at a fraction of the price elsewhere, picture-perfect matching family pajamas (for pets too!) and top electronics from Apple, LG and others.
Customers can shop the endless aisles on Walmart.com to find incredible prices on hundreds of millions of items including gifts from top brands including Carote Cookware, Dyson, Michael Kors, Reebok, Samsung, Sony and Vitamix.

At Walmart, holiday inspiration is a click or store visit away on Walmart.com or the app. Walmart’s seamless omnichannel shopping experience ensures convenience, speed and enjoyment, especially during the busy holiday season when customers seek flexibility and ease in how and when they shop. With nearly half of Walmart customers shopping online and in stores, Walmart is delivering a best-in-class omnichannel shopping experience that saves customers precious time so they can spend more of it where it matters this holiday with family.
Eighty-one percent of Walmart customers plan to visit Walmart.com first for shopping ideas and inspiration, and they’re in for a very exciting experience this year1. Walmart’s completely reimagined site experience and improved search provide customers with a hyper-personalized experience as well as dedicated and curated Brand Shops and Brand Shelves, so customers can scroll and explore the endless aisles of the closest store – the one in their pocket. Walmart is also continuing to roll out these dedicated digital storefronts which will allow customers to shop curated pages.
Walmart also recently announced a newly expanded suite of pickup and delivery options that prioritize speed and convenience, including late-night Express Delivery until 10 p.m. and On-Demand Delivery slots for flexibility. These additions join Walmart’s convenient in-store or curbside pickup options and Express Delivery in as soon as 30 minutes.
