Honey Homes Doubles Member Count in Three Months As Homeowners Rapidly Adopt New, Seamless Approach to Home Upkeep

Hires DoorDash veteran Andrew Ladd to lead and accelerate product development

Introduces Home Health to customize ongoing maintenance to the unique characteristics and needs of each member’s home

LAFAYETTE, Calif.--()--Honey Homes, a membership service delivering complete home upkeep and maintenance, today announced it has doubled its membership base to over 1,000 households in just three months as busy homeowners continue to choose convenience and joy over stress and uncertainty. Since launching in 2021, Honey Homes has saved members over 50,000 hours of light fixture installs, paint touch ups, and more by completing over 25,000 home to-dos through more than 15,000 handyperson visits.

This summer, Honey Homes announced a $9 million Series A round with a focus on introducing new service offerings that enable members to more fully enjoy their homes with family and friends. As part of today’s news, the company shared that it has hired longtime DoorDash veteran Andrew Ladd to accelerate those efforts and drive Honey Homes’ product development.

“Honey Homes is inventing new ways to bring homeowners comfort and joy at an unmatched speed in the home services industry,” said Vishwas Prabhakara, CEO and co-founder of Honey Homes. “It’s incredibly motivating to see how the value and benefits members associate with Honey Homes continue to gain traction in the communities we serve. With Andrew onboard, we look forward to further amplifying how Honey Homes delivers an unparalleled experience for homeowners.”

Rolling out this month is Home Health, an always-on feature that puts home maintenance on auto-pilot to save homeowners time and money. Further underscoring Honey Homes’ commitment to replacing hassle with convenience, each member’s handyperson will now document the unique characteristics of their appliances and home systems in under 30 minutes. Home Health then leverages Honey Homes’ proprietary software to turn those inputs into a customized home maintenance plan. As useful maintenance is required, handypeople will accomplish what’s needed during their next appointment. With no hassle, homeowners will benefit from cleaner air and water, fewer clogged drains and leaks, and higher performing, longer lasting appliances.

“Honey Homes has established a track record of vastly exceeding member expectations of what trusted support for their ongoing home upkeep and maintenance needs should look like,” said Andrew Ladd, Product Lead at Honey Homes. “I’m excited to join the team and build new, innovative products like Home Health that continue to push the boundary of home services for the benefit of homeowners and tradesworkers alike.”

Honey Homes was founded in response to the frustration many homeowners experience completing home projects and finding trustworthy vendors to help them do so. Members enjoy the support of a dedicated, trusted handyperson who visits at least once a month to ensure top home needs are accomplished with ease. Members also have access to unlimited support from Honey Homes’ expert team through its mobile app, a centralized hub where appointments can be booked and new tasks added and discussed.

Following its August 2023 launch in Marin County, Honey Homes’ coverage now extends across the suburbs of the San Francisco Bay Area. It recently tripled the number of homes in its service area in Dallas, Honey Homes’ first market outside of California, where it initially launched in June 2023.
