ORLANDO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--OneRail, a leading provider of solutions in last mile omnichannel fulfillment, today announced that Vice President of Customer Success Marissa Carey and Director of Marketing Julia Grove were selected as recipients of Food Logistics and Supply & Demand Chain Executive’s 2023 Women in Supply Chain award. The awards come on the heels of OneRail being ranked for the second consecutive year on the Inc. 5000 List (ranking No. 59) and named as a Sample Vendor in the Gartner® Hype Cycle™ for Supply Chain Execution Technologies.
The annual Women in Supply Chain award honors female supply chain leaders and executives whose accomplishments, mentorship and examples set a foundation for women throughout all levels of a company’s supply chain network. The 2023 list includes individuals from software and service providers, consultancies and academia, trucking and transportation firms, professional development agencies, sourcing and procurement divisions, and more, who have helped supply chain clients and the supply chain community at large prepare to meet many of today’s — and tomorrow’s — biggest challenges.
“This is a well-deserved honor for Marissa, who has been with the company through our series A and B funding and has rapidly risen within OneRail,” said Co-founder and Executive Vice President of Customer Success and Marketing Lisa Catania. “Her dedication and leadership throughout the customer success department has transformed our implementation, support and product learning processes and systems, leading to improved customer satisfaction.”
"Julia has played a crucial role in advancing the company’s go-to-market and growth strategy, and her passion and extensive industry knowledge has played a key role in our ability to educate the industry on the latest advancements in last mile delivery and omnichannel solutions,” Catania said “I’m thrilled to see Marissa and Julia recognized for this prestigious award.”
According to Food Logistics and Supply & Demand Chain Executive Editor-in-Chief Marina Mayer, this year took in over 400 submissions, the highest amount of applications for the award to date. “Of those 400 submissions, 118 of them were submitted by male counterparts, nominating their boss, co-worker or associate. Last year, that figure was just at 75,” Mayer said. “Also this year, 39 women self-nominated, a tremendous uptick from last year’s award, which saw just 12 self-nominations. This shows progress. This shows hope that one day, we won’t need an award like this because men and women in the supply chain will be equal. While there’s still more work to be done, what we’re doing is working — from truck drivers to CEOs, what these winners are doing matters to the future of all supply chains.”
