LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--MediaLab, a provider of quality management software for clinical laboratories and health systems, today announced the appointment of Tom Ormondroyd as Chief Executive Officer. Ormondroyd brings more than 20 years of experience scaling high-growth healthcare and SaaS organizations and a passion for building teams and strong company culture. MediaLab founder and current Chief Executive Officer Paul Fekete will continue with the company in a board role.
Ormondroyd previously served as Chief Executive Officer at Millennia, a patient payment and financial engagement company, where he transformed the company’s brand, technology platforms, and business strategy to drive significant growth and profitability. Prior to Millennia, Ormondroyd was the President of Education and Analytics at nThrive, a technology-enabled revenue cycle services company providing holistic solutions for acute and ambulatory providers.
“It’s an honor to join MediaLab, a company with an inspiring mission for how its technology and education can improve healthcare for both the healthcare professional and the patient. I look forward to building on MediaLab’s impressive track record and reputation as the industry leader in quality and compliance,” said Ormondroyd. “With the strength of the MediaLab platform and the amazing team that stands behind it, I’m incredibly optimistic about the growth opportunities ahead and expanding our vision to help every provider deliver compliant, high quality and efficient care to patients. I’m thrilled to lead this highly passionate and hardworking team and, together, make MediaLab a trusted, mission critical software solution in laboratories, hospitals and health systems globally.”
Ormondroyd joins MediaLab following a strategic growth investment from Silversmith Capital Partners in September 2022. MediaLab’s market-leading product is now being used by more than 450,000 healthcare professionals across over 8,000 healthcare facilities globally. Customers range from small, independent labs to some of the largest hospitals and health systems in the country and world.
“MediaLab represents an ideal investment for Silversmith: a bootstrapped, growing, profitable, founder-owned healthcare IT company with a highly stable customer base,” said Brian Peterson, General Partner at Silversmith Capital Partners. “We are excited to welcome Tom as our Chief Executive Officer. Tom’s leadership experience and proven track record in healthcare technology will be invaluable as we focus on accelerating the company’s trajectory even further.”
