SAN DIEGO & LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Biocom California, the association representing the California life science industry, today announced the appointment of Dan Gober as the organization’s executive director of its Los Angeles office. Mr. Gober will be responsible for developing and executing initiatives that promote the success of programs, benefits and advocacy for the industry in the Los Angeles region.
“Dan has an outstanding track record in the life science industry that will enable him to lead Biocom California’s Los Angeles team and contribute to a rapidly growing life science sector,” said Miguel Motta, vice president of strategic operations for Biocom California. “Los Angeles has both tremendous potential for life science growth and unique opportunities that require a leader with robust local and industry knowledge. I am confident that Dan is the right person to foster continued growth of the LA life science industry.”
Mr. Gober is an industry leader with over 25 years of life science experience. Most recently he served as executive director of sales and business development at Corval, an organization specializing in streamlining the commercialization process for emerging biopharma companies. Previously, Mr. Gober held numerous senior positions leading cross-functional teams in the areas of commercial execution, data management, client services, as well as clinical and regulatory support. In addition, Mr. Gober has direct industry experience serving in senior roles at AstraZeneca as well as a startup pharmaceutical organization. Mr. Gober holds a B.A. in economics from California State University Long Beach.
