TORONTO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Bird Global, Inc. (NYSE:BRDS), a leader in environmentally friendly electric transportation, continues to cement its position as the dominant industry leader in Canada. With the recent expansions to Regina and Saskatoon, Bird now operates in 20 Canadian cities from coast to coast and provides more rides to more Canadians in more cities than any other provider.
In an exciting development, Bird returned to Montreal by offering a self-service e-scooter rental service at Parc Jean-Drapeau this summer, on an exclusive basis. Bird will gradually deploy up to 200 e-scooters, which will be available to park visitors from July 1st to November 15, 2023.
Bird’s dominance extends further as the company will exclusively provide its services to the Ontario cities of Hamilton and Windsor, in addition to being selected by the cities of Oshawa and Brampton in the Greater Toronto Area. Impressively, Bird has been selected for three consecutive years by the City of Ottawa, a testament to the strong partnerships and trust fostered over the years.
“Our goal is to provide sustainable transportation that enhances the quality of life for people throughout Canada. We are thrilled with these recent wins and excited to earn the trust of city officials as we partner with them to bring our innovative brand of convenient and eco-friendly micromobility solutions to their communities,” said Stewart Lyons, President of Bird Global.
