SALT LAKE CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Quality Engine, the administrative measure logic and systematic sample processing component of Cotiviti’s Quality Intelligence solution, has earned Certified Measures status for the Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS®) 2023 Measurement Year (MY 2023) from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). This certification, which follows Cotiviti’s recognition as a top performer in the 2023 Best in KLAS ratings for payer quality analytics, validates that measures have been put through the thorough testing required to effectively support health plans with the HEDIS 2023 reporting season, marking the 23rd consecutive year Cotiviti has earned this recognition.
“Quality measurement and improvement is a critical, yet demanding initiative for health plans, requiring these organizations to continuously seek the most advanced and robust solutions offering improved efficiency and integration,” said Emad Rizk, M.D., chairman, president, and CEO of Cotiviti. “Receiving this NCQA recognition for the 23rd year in a row is a testament to Cotiviti’s longstanding focus on optimizing healthcare quality. This certification further solidifies Cotiviti’s role as a dependable partner for health plans of all sizes in quality improvement.”
Cotiviti’s Quality Intelligence is a measurement and reporting solution that helps plans streamline compliance and keep pace with the complexities of ever-changing requirements. As part of ongoing efforts to help plans drive improvements in HEDIS and Star Ratings while optimizing efficiency, Cotiviti also released its Star Intelligence solution in 2022 to give plans data-focused insights into their Star Ratings to better prioritize actions needed to offer high-quality care to members and improve bonus payments.
When integrated with Cotiviti’s Quality Intelligence solution, Star Intelligence offers a one-stop shop for HEDIS and Star Ratings management and helps clients deliver consistency across quality programs, ensuring compatibility with historical HEDIS data to support trending and projection logic. Beginning in MY 2022, Cotiviti also introduced a new provider reporting capability for plans to view which providers and provider groups are performing at a high level against benchmark thresholds, Star Ratings cut points, and measures.
“With quality becoming increasingly tied to reimbursement and value-based care, health plans are seeking better ways to optimize quality improvement programs. These innovations and certifications demonstrate Cotiviti’s longstanding investment in advancing its solutions to give plans what they need amid an increasingly challenging quality landscape,” said Chad Kinkead, senior vice president of risk adjustment, quality, and population health for Cotiviti. “With over 61 percent of all members reported to NCQA in the last measurement year processed through Quality Intelligence and our solutions being supported by our industry-leading medical record retrieval rate, exceeding 90 percent on average, Cotiviti is poised to continue helping plans achieve better outcomes with lower resource burden during the HEDIS season and throughout the year, and to drive tangible improvements to care.”
