Dunn Investment Co. Promotes Fleming and Grogan to President

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dunn Investment Company, owner of one of America’s oldest contracting businesses and holding company of multiple operating businesses located throughout the Southeast, announced today key promotions for two senior executives. Craig Fleming has been named President – Eastern Division and Rodney Grogan has been named President – Western Division.

Craig Fleming leads the management teams at Dunn Construction Company, Dunn Building Company, Civil Constructors, Dunn University, and Dunn Real Estate. He earned a BS in Civil Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology in 1981 and began his career at APAC-Alabama. He joined Dunn Construction in 1994 and has served in several leadership roles across the company. He is past president of the Mississippi Asphalt Pavement Association, past president and current member of the Alabama Asphalt Pavement Association, past president and current board member of the Alabama Road Builders Association, past chairman of the Coalition for Regional Transportation in Birmingham, AL, current chairman of the UAB Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering Industry Advisory Board, and is a past member of the Associated Builders and Contractors Board and the ABC General/Subcontractor Advisory Board.

Rodney Grogan leads the management teams at MMC Materials, Bayou Concrete, Dunn Roadbuilders, and Dunn Utility Products, and he oversees Dunn’s partnerships with Huey P. Stockstill LLC and West Tennessee Ready-Mix. He earned a BA in 1986 and an MBA in 1988 from the University of Alabama. He began his career with Andersen Consulting and joined Dunn in 1994, where he held leadership positions with Dunn Construction, Dunn Roadbuilders, and MMC. Rodney’s industry service includes past chairman of the Mississippi Concrete Association, National Ready-Mixed Concrete Association, and the Concrete Advancement Foundation. He also served as a board member of the Mississippi Road Builders Association, and as a past advisory board member for the Construction Materials Research Center at Mississippi State University.
