In this newly created role, Ballon will be responsible for connecting SkyHive’s strategy to execution, building scalability to support strong and increasing demand from its large customers, and continuing to drive top-line growth through global expansion and a robust ecosystem.
Ballon joins SkyHive following the close of the Company’s latest growth capital round. Ballon is a renowned C-suite leader with more than 25 years of experience in the enterprise technology industry, and has previously held senior roles at Cisco, General Electric, and Intel. A pioneer in machine learning for over a decade, he has built several multi-billion-dollar businesses serving global customers. In addition to creating long-term shareholder value for Fortune 500 companies, Ballon has also scaled several growth-stage AI startups as a board member and non-executive chairman.

There, he pioneered several AI and deep learning commercial solutions, grew revenue at 20% CAGR, and forged impactful partnerships with the likes of Dell, Amazon, and Microsoft. Prior to Intel, Ballon was co-founder and COO of GE Digital, where he launched the company’s first cloud-based software and infrastructure platform for GE customers across Healthcare, Aviation, Water & Energy, and other sectors. Over the course of a decade at Cisco, Ballon also led strategy, planning, and business development for the company’s multi-billion-dollar service and solutions business.
