AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Accelergen Energy LLC (“Accelergen”), a leading renewable energy developer with a specific focus on solar power and storage, today announced the addition of Adam Foltz to its leadership team. He will report to CEO, Thomas Houle. The company recently announced $30 million in growth capital from Leyline Renewable Capital, which will be utilized to develop a multi-gigawatt pipeline of high quality solar and storage projects.
“We are thrilled to welcome Adam to Accelergen as we begin to grow the company,” said Thomas Houle, chief executive officer, Accelergen Energy. “Adam's extensive experience in the industry makes him the perfect fit for this strategic role. His track record of successfully integrating large-scale renewable projects into the grid and his expertise in grid decarbonization will be instrumental as we continue to drive the transition to clean energy and strengthen our position as a leader in the industry.”
Foltz brings with him 17 years of experience spanning the renewable energy and utility industry. His career has been focused on understanding the electric grid and markets in the United States, and the successful integration of large utility scale renewable projects to support the acceleration of grid decarbonization. He joins Accelergen from AES Clean Energy, where he worked with Accelergen’s senior vice president of Development, Josh Skogen, built up and led AES Clean Energy’s grid integration, early-stage engineering, and civil engineering teams for the development of a 50+ GW renewables pipeline throughout the country. Prior to that he was instrumental in the early-stage growth of both Silverado Power, where he spent close to three years as manager of Interconnection, and later Sustainable Power Group (sPower) as vice president of Grid Integration, until the company merged with AES in 2020. Foltz has worked on many of the largest operational renewable projects in the US, including a 625 MW solar project in PJM, a singularly interconnected series of solar and battery storage projects in CAISO totaling more than 1 GW and a 370 MW solar project in Arizona.
“I am honored to join the Accelergen Energy team,” said Adam Foltz. “The company's commitment to renewable energy and its focus on solar power and storage align perfectly with my passion for driving the decarbonization of the grid. I look forward to contributing to the development of high-quality solar and storage projects. Together, we can accelerate the transition to clean energy and make a significant impact on the future of sustainable power generation.”
