SOMERSET, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SHI International, one of the largest IT solutions providers in the world, has hired Andrea Daugherty as the Head of Digital Health. Daugherty will serve as an integral member of SHI Healthcare’s senior leadership team, managing a group that includes the Field Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and collaborating with customers, partners, and other internal teams to develop digital solutions that support the company’s healthcare clients’ unique needs.
Daugherty joins SHI from the Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin, where she served as Chief Information Officer. She developed and implemented new programs and enterprise strategies for infrastructure, governance, information security, clinical systems, and project management as a part of Dell Medical's digital transformation. She brings more than a decade of progressive healthcare technology and clinical experience as well as a unique perspective as a former SHI customer.

Daugherty holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Enterprise Management and Entrepreneurship from the University of Missouri at Kansas City. She is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Healthcare Chief Information Officer (CHCIO), and Project Management Professional.
