Mercury Capital Advisors Appoints Leadership Committee to Meet Rising Opportunities in Private Markets

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mercury Capital Advisors announced today that it has appointed a new Leadership Committee to meet the demands of rising opportunities in private markets and drive the strategy of the Firm.

As part of the organizational changes, Jennifer Frame has been appointed as Head of North American Distribution and will lead a team of five distribution personnel dedicated to North American fundraising. Sara Modalal Al-Qahtani has been promoted to Partner and will lead fundraising in the Middle East. Devrup Banerjee, who was recently appointed to lead the Firm’s Secondary Advisory practice and Matthew Haimes, who leads Origination and Distribution efforts in Europe, will also be part of the Leadership Committee. Cynthia Ho and Andrew Osofsky will co-head North American Origination and Project Management whereas Arpit Khandelwal will head International Project Management.

“With a combined industry experience of over 150 years, I am confident that the new Leadership Committee will take the Firm through the next phase of its journey. We are experiencing a strong rebound in LP sentiment and allocations in 2023, as well as increasing requests from GPs for fund and co-investment placement, and secondary solutions for existing portfolio assets,” said John Franklin, Managing Partner.

The new appointments come after the recently announced departure of Enrique Cuan, Managing Partner and co-Founder. Mr. Cuan is leaving the Firm to pursue other career opportunities. “I am grateful for the opportunities at Mercury, and confident that the Firm will continue to build on its success,” added Mr. Cuan.

Mercury continues to provide a comprehensive one-stop solution for its GP clients across fund placement, secondary advisory, fund co-investments and direct placement, and has a team of over 30 across its global offices. It has added several new clients in the last year including NGP Energy Capital, 3i Group and Capitol Meridian, while continuing to provide services to its long-standing clients such as Gaw Capital Partners, Coller Capital, Valar Ventures among others. It has also established a partnership with Investcorp Strategic Capital Group and provides select fund placement and other solutions for its underlying GPs.
