Flight Attendants Holding Day of Action at Vancouver Airport to End Unpaid Work

VANCOUVER, British Columbia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Flight attendants represented by the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) will be holding a day of action at Vancouver International Airport on Tuesday, April 25, as part of their campaign to end the rampant abuse of unpaid work in the airline industry. Flight attendants in Canada are not paid for boarding, delays, deplaning, and many other duties. They are tired of working 35 hours unpaid every month, on average, and they are coming together on Tuesday to tell the airlines and federal government: Unpaid work won’t fly!
