MIAMI--()--For the second consecutive year, Eight Sleep has been named to Fast Company’s prestigious annual list of the World’s Most Innovative Companies for 2023.

Ranked at number 43 overall and claiming the top spot in the Wellness category, Eight Sleep is leading a sleep fitness revolution through its hardware and software products that give sleepers the best rest possible every single night. Its award-winning technology, the Pod, counts many high performers among its fans, including pro athletes like 7-time Formula 1 Champion Lewis Hamilton and his teammate George Russell, snowboarding sensation and Olympic Gold-Medalist Red Gerard, 2-time CrossFit Games Champion Justin Medeiros, Alex Rodriguez, celebrities like Kevin Hart, Steve Aoki, Ruby Rose, Maisie Williams, Neuroscientist and host of Huberman Lab Andrew Huberman, as well as notable entrepreneurs and elite Silicon Valley investors.

This year’s list highlights the businesses at the forefront of their respective industries, paving the way for the innovations of tomorrow. These companies are setting the standard with some of the greatest accomplishments of the modern world. In addition to the World’s 50 Most Innovative Companies, 540 organizations are recognized across 54 sectors and regions.

“Innovation is one of our core pillars at Eight Sleep. We strive to innovate in our technical developments, and also in our brand, communications, product design, and the processes we use to operate. Achieving a placement within Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies list and being named as the number one company in the Wellness category, demonstrates how our innovative approach is continuing to impact human performance by unlocking our members’ full potential through optimal sleep,” said Eight Sleep Co-Founder and CEO Matteo Franceschetti.

Since being recognized by Fast Company in 2022, Eight Sleep launched Pod 3 — the latest generation of their award-winning sleep technology that uses personalized thermoregulation to improve sleep quality by up to 32%. Pod 3 features upgrades to its computing and sensor system, powering more accurate biometric and health tracking with twice the number of sensors and 4000x greater resolution. The new sensor system achieves 99% heart rate sensing accuracy compared to clinical reference, a unique achievement for a non-wearable product. Furthermore, clinical data have shown that the technology behind Pod 3 can also increase deep sleep by up to 34%, and increase heart rate variability (HRV) by up to 19%. The release of Pod 3 is part of Eight Sleep’s journey to transform an ordinary bed into an advanced health platform that fuels both recovery and performance.

Fast Company’s editors and writers sought out the companies making the biggest strides around the globe. They also judged nominations received through their application process.

The World’s Most Innovative Companies is Fast Company’s signature franchise and one of its most highly anticipated editorial efforts of the year. It provides a firsthand look at the inspiring and innovative efforts of companies across all sectors of the economy.
