KERRVILLE, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Armour Excavating is pleased to announce the promotion of Rich Wheatley to Chief Operating Officer. In his new role, Rich will be responsible for developing and growing the company in addition to overseeing business operations. Before Armour Excavating, Rich was the Operations Manager for John D. Adams Trucking dba JDAT, acquired by Armour Excavating in late December 2022.
Armour Excavating is also excited to announce extended delivery hours and additional service offerings. Effective March 1, 2023 Armour Excavating will be able to deliver basic aggregates on the weekends and evenings given the opening of our own materials yard.
Secondly, Armour Excavating has a broader range of capabilities based on the range of equipment it operates, allowing us to offer additional services. The additional services we provide include tandem dump truck delivery (typically 12-12.5 tons/10-11 cubic yards), 18-wheeler end dump delivery (typically 23-24 tons/20-21 cubic yards), 18-wheeler belly dump delivery (the same as end dump), wheeled front-end loader or skid steer operator provided or rental (call for details), cedar clearing, excavation, 18-wheeler flatbed hauling, and 18-wheeler low boy heavy equipment hauling.
“It is amazing to be able to expand our place in the market. Historically, any requests I would get for equipment moving, end dump work or belly dump work would have to be referred to another company. We can offer all of these services now and it feels great to be able to fulfill that demand. We can also help people decide what type of material they need and how much they will need. We can truly be a one stop shop for anyone’s dirt, aggregate hauling/spreading and land clearing needs,” said Rich Wheatley, Chief Operating Officer of Armour Excavating.
“I am excited for the future and what we will be able to do to help our current and future customers in whatever way we can,” said Stephen Day, Owner of Armour Excavating.
